Hi Geoff!
First of all, thanks for this great script. I even wrote an article
describing how to easily integrate animations using your method
(http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash8/flash_fix.htm). Many users,
though, have complained that animations that worked before no longer
work when embedded using FlashObject (and now the latest SWFObject).
For example, here is a test URL:
http://www.kirupa.com/temp/flashobject/test3.htm

The test animation (the solid black box) works in all flavors of IE
and FF on Windows, but on FF on Linux, the animation does not display.
A similarly configured Flash 8 animation inserted using the default
embed/param method does display the animation in Linux. I do not think
the issue is related to Javascript permissions, for currently on the
home page, http://www.kirupa.com, the animations are inserted using a
non-SWFobject external JavaScript file. FF on Linux is able to display
that well.

Do you have any suggestions? I really prefer your method because it
loads an external .js file once as opposed to the other methods that
require a .js load per animation displayed.

Thanks!
Kirupa =)
