Hi Gordon,

Although I'm new to sfwobject, one thing I have realised over the past few days is there are two versions of the Flash Player installer, depending on the browser you use.

Forgive me if everyone else knows this but the archived Flash 6.0.65 installer comes in two versions, 'fp_6.0.65_activex.exe' for IE and 'fp_6.0.65_plugin.exe' for everything else.

Similarly, Flash 7.0.61 comes as 'flashplayer7r61_win.exe' (plug-in) and 'flashplayer7r61_winax.exe' (ActiveX) versions.

The uninstaller removes both the ActiveX and plug-in versions.

==================

The upshot of this is that you have to run two installs if you run/test on both IE and other browsers.

This is likely to only be a problem for developers since the average user will only use one browser.

Again, sorry if this is common knowledge to everyone.

Regards,
