[SWFObject] Strange Problem in Firefox

I have found that if you make the wmode="transparent" you can make  
DHTML elements
appear above flash.

Although Safari seems to flicker the layer depth.  You can see it here
http://spring-green.com/  the DHTML menu goes over the flash movie.

And Mac/Firefox it causes transparencies in the SWF to darken.  Look  
at the drop
shadow under the nav.  http://bosudev.spoonermedia.com/

Has anyone experienced this?  Is there another work around to get  
SWF's to appear
under other elements?
