Hi Tim

I checked your site with IE6/Win2K Pro SP4 and I see the problem the same as
I do on XP Pro w/- IE7 & FF1.5 In both cases I have Flash Player 9
installed. I do not have the player plugin installed for FF on thr Win2K Pro
system so cant check that.

Ryan,

I looked in the css files, nothing there that I can see that is causing
conflicts. It is strange for sure, because on a win2000 machine with ie6,
this behavior does not happen, It only happens with xp and ie6 or ie7. And
even then, it does not happen on the home page. Thanks for the feedback, if
there is a solution it would be nice to know what it is.

Thanks Again,
Tim

Aran and Tim,

I agree, I looked over the html, and it looks like there are style tags that
IE supports, but FF ignores. For example, the page is aligned left in FF,
but centered in IE. Thus I think IE is placing the menu in the wrong place,
then placing it correctly after the top banner is placed.

Does the CSS set styles for the SWF DIV's? If so what?

I think it can be fixed easily, if you can just find out where the conflict
is. but I am sure it is in the CSS/Style tags somewhere.

Anyway, I am really interested in this because I have had similar problems
before, which I fixed.. But (embarrassing) I don't really know how I fixed
it...

Ryan

Tim.

I see what you mean. It doesn't happen for me on Firefox, but does happen on
IE6.

I personally have never run into this, but it looks to be the order in which
the page in being rendered is causing the positioning layout to change as
elements are drawn to the screen.

Anyone else have something useful to add?

Aran

I have 2 flash objects on a page and in IE 6 or 7, the left nav flash object
actually will jump up (stretch) on the page when clicked to go to a new
page.

Any ideas??
