Hi all,

its mentioned on the blog post for the latest version (1.4.4) that:

http://blog.deconcept.com/2006/08/03/swfobject-144-released/

"One new issue that can arise with the addition of the cleanup
routines, is if you are including the swfobject.js script in your
pages more than once, you will cause more ‘out of memory’ errors. If
this happens, make sure you only insert the swfobject.js file in your
page only one time."

Seems a reasonable enough workaround for the present, but is this
planned to be fixed?

Its seems to me that if Opensource projects, Ad networks, CMS and
others are indicating that they are using SWFObject then users will
be unable to determine in advance whether SWF is going to be present
on their site already - which could start getting it a bad name,
since this causes such visible errors.

Has anyone a working alternative?

Regards

Liam Clancy (metafeather)
